White Prairie Aster Early August to Early October
We often think of spring flowers, but the white prairie aster might be considered a harbinger of fall. Long after the colors of summer blossoms have vanished for the season, this tall aster blooms boldly. Walk through the prairie late in the summer to find this stalwart flower blooming in bursts of white - or even shades of lavender.
