Species
In the Red River Valley of the North, we stand on the shoulders of the generations who have come before us. Today, at the cusp of the twenty-first century, we have an opportunity to define ourselves by the community we create for future generations. What follows is a field guide to a small sampling of species native to Grand Forks County prairie grasslands. Through the continued stewardship of these grasslands, we can ensure that a diversity of native plants and animals will continue to live in the place that we, too, call home. Click on the categories above to view species.
